About RFID, HF, and NFC
Usually it is quite hard to distingish and learn the relevance between RFID, HF and NFC....here we collect the related information and have a simple introduce:
RFID means radio frequency technology, RFID common classification: LF (low frequency), HF (high frequency), UHF (ultra high frequency), 433MHZ (active) and 2.45G (active) several major classification.
Among the most widely used application is HF (high frequency). HF is divided into: 14443A, 14443B, 15693 of these three protocols.
In which three communication protocols, 14443B as China second generation ID card recognition technology, so domestic regulation is very strict, rarely manufacturers can produce such an agreement reader. 15693 protocols is the higher cost, although there are some applications, but is not so common.
The most common protocol is 14443A. 14443, there are a number of internationally renowned electronic information technology companies use this agreement to launch a number of communications technology, such as a technology jointly developed by Sony, Philips called the Nokia NFC technology, there are also some chip makers to use this agreement to do some chip proper names, such as mifare card, S50 card S70 card, so mifare card is actually high frequency 14443A cards.
LF (low frequency) corresponding to a frequency of 125K.134K, HF (high frequency) corresponding to a frequency of 13.56MHZ, UHF (ultra high frequency) corresponding to the frequency range of 860MHZ-930MHZ
To sum up: RFID comprises LF HF UHF 433MHZ 2.45GHZ.. HF containing 14443A / B, 15963 protocols, 14443A protocol includes NFC technology
