Receipt printer can print labels, but the effect is not as good as a barcode printer.
The reasons are:
1, Receipt printer’s width is very narrow, only print 57mm or 76mm label materials, common barcode printers can print about 105mm.
2, Receipt printers can’t sense the position of the label since there’s no photoelectric sensors, bar code printers can accurately locate.
3, Receipt printer’s typesetting software is very easy, barcode printers have powerful typesetting software.
4, Receipt printer is suitable for printing 60 grams -130 grams of thermal paper, bar code printer has a wider range of paper thickness, generally the adhesive paper is 160 grams, if print with receipt printer, there’s too much pressure on the print head, and it will accelerate wear and tear.
