UPC-A and EAN13 1D Barcode Relation
Regarding to the EAN 13 and UPC-A barcodes. They are the most common used product barcode, and they have some relations. To creat an EAN 13 barcode, it is conbined by 12 numbers (except the first check bit), if it haven't 12 numbers like 11 numbers, it will add an 0 in front automatically, on this condition, it is not a real EAN 13 code, but a UPC barcode. So the Zero can't be read out. Or if the barcode has 12 numbers and start from 0, it is UPC barcode actually also, the 0 can't be read out. Only if the barcode combined by 12 numbers and start from 1-9, it is real EAN barcode, on this condition, the 13 numbers can be read out. UPC-A and EAN13 reading output can be switched each other.
